Pratham Chandramukhi Annual Report for 2024

#

To all well-wishers of Pratham Chandramukhi

Our greetings to you after one more year.

When we started Pratham Chandramukhi in 2018, we planned to have an annual meeting with

the girls and you, the patrons. This year we met in March. It was held in Nandita’s home. Chitra Bindu, Krishna Chakrabarti and Srabashi came. We got to know the girls and discussed about their future plans.

In 2025 we are planning to meet on Jan 4 Saturday. You are all welcome.

We continue to monitor the stipend recipients’ academic progress through the WhatsApp Group that was formed in 2022.

We are happy to report that most of the girls are progressing steadily in their chosen career.

The year started with eight Chandramukhi stipend recipients.

 Priya Debnath

She has completed her UG in Philosophy (H) from Howrah Bijoykrishna Girl’s College. Her CGPA is 8.2 (82%). She has started taking training in various computer applications. She does not plan to go for M.A.

She has completed her UG in Commerce (H) from Narasimha Dutta College. Her CGPA is 6.8 (68%). She is preparing for various competitive exams for Govt jobs and started giving tuition. She does not plan to continue with MComm.

Priya and Swikriti were among the first to receive Chandramukhi stipend. We are very happy and proud for their completion of Bachelors. We congratulate them and wish them all possible success in life. Even though, as a policy, Pratham Chandramukhi does not provide stipend for PG studies, we are committed to provide support on a need basis. That commitment stands for Priya and Swikriti, should they require any.
